2015年にスタートした「刑事7人」は、東山演じる天樹悠ら警視庁刑事部新専従捜査班のメンバーを中心にした人間模様とサスペンスが共存するドラマシリーズ。シーズン9ではプロ集団として互いへの信頼を感じさせる前シーズンの関係性から一転、7人が互いを疑う不穏な空気が充満する物語になるという。日常的に人々の死と向き合ってきた新専従捜査班のメンバーは、それぞれが今後の人生について思い悩み、少しずつバラバラに。そんな中でも次々と殺人事件が発生するが、被害者は10年前の“ある事件”に関わりがあった。時を同じくして、警察組織の内部告発を行う「暴露チャンネル」が何者かの手によって始動する。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
