This is exactly what the director is planning to achieve with this film| His journeys to Germany, Austria, Russia...。男大当婚，女大当嫁，人是如此，老鼠也不例外。中国民间传说，正月初七是“鼠娶亲”的日子。一只小灰鼠看到了自己心爱的姑娘，想把她娶过门，女方家人看到他一身破烂，急忙撵走他。他一气之下跳进面粉缸扮成小白鼠。再去提亲时，女家父母需要珍贵丰富的聘礼。没想到当小灰鼠都一一办到，迎娶心爱姑娘的那天，看见了另一对新人，其中一件聘礼是一个大大的香甜蛋糕。女家父母得寸进尺，需要小灰鼠同样以蛋糕作为聘礼。 他找到了蛋糕，却在一个专门捕捉老鼠的笼子里，为了娶得美人归，他决心拼一拼，结果被关进老鼠笼，直掉眼泪。 心爱的姑娘也被狠心的父母拉走了，重回寻找富贵夫婿的道路。。
