影片主要讲述了工人国栋在工地上挖出了一件宝贝，他和好友王晓明将宝贝卖给了古董商老三，没想到就此陷入了这个盗墓惯犯设下了的惊天迷局之中。王晓明的亲人好友都被牵涉其中，面对这场飞来横祸，他将何去何从……。故事改编自真实事件，讲述1999年，一个名叫JT LeRoy的变性男子以作家身份走红，后被揭发此人的形象其实是捏造出来的：所谓他写的书，其实是一个叫Laura Albert(邓恩饰演)的女人写的，而他出现在公众面前的形象，是一个叫Savannah Knoop的女人(斯图尔特饰演)扮演的。。Debuting on Nickelodeon in 2003, "My Life as a Teenage Robot" follows the escapades of Jenny, a super-powered robot with a super sensitive teenage heart.
