深山古刹，进京赶考的书生朱孝廉（邓超饰）被一个从壁画上跌落下来的仙女牡丹（郑爽饰）带到了画中的仙境。在奇异的仙境之中，众多仙女在姑姑（闫妮饰）的管理下，过着自由快乐的生活，但惟独不许她们与男人产生感情，而且对私自闯进仙境的男人也绝不手软。在仙境里，朱孝廉认识了仙女芍药（孙俪饰）。在芍药的帮助下，朱孝廉躲过被姑姑发现的危险，顺利的返回人间。但是，由于担心牡丹的安危，在朱孝廉的请求下，古庙里的大师（曾志伟饰）帮助朱孝廉重返仙境。然而仙境之中依旧歌舞升平，但朱孝廉却怎么也找不到仙女牡丹的身影…… 本片取材自《聊斋志异》，由陈嘉上导演执导。邓超、孙俪夫妻首次大银幕合作。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。
