高森美由紀の小説「ジャパン・ディグニティ」を映像化した本作は、青森の伝統工芸である津軽塗、通称“バカ塗り”をテーマにした物語。何をやってもうまくいかず自信を持てない青木美也子が、津軽塗職人の寡黙な父・清史郎との暮らしの中で津軽塗に改めて向き合い、自分の進む道を見つけていくさまが描かれる。。Cheech must deal with losing his job, his angry neighbor, and trying to score with sexy Donna. Meanwhile, Chong meets Cheech's cousin Red and the two have a wild time in Hollywood with a big bag of buds and a cool Ferrari. Along the way they meet everyone from Pee Wee Herman to really cool aliens.。
