《全金属狂潮》第四季动画将于2018年4月开播，动画由XEBEC制作。《全金》的第四季动画也是有生之年系列，距离京都动画当年的第三季已经有将近12年的时间。在2016年的Fantasia学园祭上公布《全金属狂潮 IV》这个标题时官方就说明“IV” 不是罗马数字4，1月19日第四季的副标题正式公布，“IV”是两个英文单词的首字母缩写——“Invisible Victory”（无形的胜利）。。硅谷天才电脑工程师泰德•罗森（Dick Christie 饰）制造了一个高智能机器人，该机器人拥有人类女孩的外表，智商超高，力大无穷。泰德将这个命名为维姬（Tiffany Brissette 饰）的机器人作为礼物送给妻子，对外则宣称维姬是儿子乔恩（Marla Pennington 饰）的妹妹。 行为古怪的维姬以及邻居一脸雀斑、疑心颇重的小女孩哈丽叶（Emily Schulman 饰）为罗森一家带来无尽的乐趣…… 本片荣获青年艺术大奖1986年度最佳年轻女配角奖（Emily Schulman）和1987年度优秀表演奖（Emily Schulman）。。Astronomers spot anomaly headed for the earths solar system.
